Export - Import storage
Overview
Storage data sharing is enabled by the export and import options. The storage is a completely independent data unit and as one can reside in any CMR or any local machine running the InspectIT user interface. One exported the storage can be imported to any CMR or any local machine.Â
Only storage in the readable state can be exported.
Exporting
Exporting of the storage is quite simple and requires only to define the name of the file where the storage data will be saved. The exported storage files always have the .itzip extension.
Exporting of the storage that is not downloaded will take longer, because all the necessary files have to be downloaded from the CMR. Read more about Download - Upload storage option.
Exporting can be done by clicking on the  Export Storage in the Storage Manager View menu or the right-click menu.
Importing
Every .itzip file that was exported using the InspectIT can be later on imported. The two possible locations for the import of the storage are local machine and Central Management Repository (CMR). The only condition for the import is that the same storage does not exist on the destination. Note that the storages are distinguished by the internal ID and not by name or other properties.
Import Storage Wizard can be invoked by clicking on the  Import Storage in the Storage Manager View menu or the right-click menu, or in the general   Import item in the main toolbar.
