WebEx can be used when multiple participants are communicating. Meeting can be joined also from the tool free numbers. NovaTec has a subscription to WebEx. Here are instructions on how to reserve a meeting if you are an employee of NovaTec (link to NovaTec internal confluence): WebEx

While it is expected that WebEx works with no problem on Widows, for the Linux there are sometimes problems in starting it and having it recognize the audio devices correctly. Follow the instructions on this http://gazelle.ihe.net/content/using-webex-under-linux in order to set up your Linux  correctly.

  1. Does it work already. Try: http://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html and give some random name and mail adress. If Java startup but your browser tells to activate it, do that.
  2. Try it out with Firefox instead of Chrome. Firefox is way more likely to work
  3. Following instructions on page  http://gazelle.ihe.net/content/using-webex-under-linux solve all the problems for the Linux 14.04. Note that after installing the Firefox you need also to install IcedTea plugin:

    sudo apt-get remove icedtea-6-plugin
    sudo apt-get install icedtea-7-plugin
  4. If this does not help. Here is information for Ubuntu 15.10. I did not try them yet though: http://dbastreet.com/blog/?tag=webex-ubuntu-15-10
