Adapting the view

Rename the view

from version 1.5

Any opened view that displays the monitoring data can be renamed for better organisation of every user. Simply hit the F2 key on the keyboard and in the input box define the new name for the view.

Rearrange columns in table views

from version 1.4

inspectIT provides you with the functionality to rearrange columns as you see fit. Simply drag and drop the column to the position as you see fit. In addition, any column can be hidden by right-clicking on the table column names and deselecting the desired column that you want to hide. Note that when a column is re-positioned/hidden, this setting will be saved for all next inspectIT sessions, thus when again starting the inspectIT all columns that you have re-positioned and hidden will remain so.

Maximize the active sub-view

from version 1.4

When working with the editors that have multiple sub-view it is possible to maximize the currently active sub-view to easier analyze the data presented. This action can be executed by clicking on the Maximize Active Sub-View button in the editor's menu or by pressing CRTL+SHIFT+M on the keyboard. As seen on the pictures below, after this action, the active sub-view will occupy the complete editor's area.

Setting the timing granularity

With version 1.3 inspectIT we integrated a new functionality to allow you to define the number of decimal places each number should be rounded to. You find this feature in the drop down menu.

All aggregated views (TimerHTTPSQL) will by default aggregate the information to whole numbers. Detailed views (like the invocation sequences) will by default use a 3-digit decimal system. These default settings are set to provide you with easier overview. In aggregation views often the digits after the comma are not interesting (and if you need them nonetheless you can easy get them back).
