User Group and Restrictions/rights

Some parts of the Atlassian instance are restricted, mostly to anonymous users to prevent spam or for safety reasons. This page shows all groups and restrictions. 

Basically the groups define your user rights. Normally you will be added to the group contributors, which gives you basically access to 99% of all pages, but restrict administration. 

User Groups

Group	Description	Rights
contributors	Everyone that contribute to inspectIT. If you added something to inspectIT (documentation, feature description, code, ...) you will be a contributor
committer	Everyone with special commiter rights on inspectIT. These people are not additionally listed in contributors	complete visibility & rights
novatec	Everyone that is related to inspectIT and NovaTec employee. As NovaTec employee we can provide additional rights over the contributors	complete visibility (restricted editing rights)
students	Every NovaTec students, that is involved with inspectIT. We keep this as a separate group as we want to remove students from the group as soon as they stop being students (we hope that we can enlist the student at least in contributors, but even better in the group novatec )	some restricted pages (passwords, ...), restricted write access to some spaces
